Question

I am about to get married and am already engaged. kindly answer my following questions:

1.Can I talk to my fiance over phone, of course knowing our limitations? ( we have decided not to meet, till we are married)

2.Is affectionately calling your wife as " my baby" allowed?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

1. To keep contact with your fiancé (future wife) by phone, email or any other way is totally prohibited in the Shari’ah.

2. It is permissible as it is an expression of love.
