Allah will not burden you with something you cannot handle

Question

Can you please explain the verse Wela ukalifu allah nefsan elawishaha.Does this mean that if you get cancer you have the means to handle it because allah does not burden a soul of something unless it could handle it? chezzaku allahu khyran.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Allah will not burden you with something you cannot handle. This does not apply to divine punishment. In the case of illness, Allah wishes to cleanse the person of his sins.
