Are we allowed to do fireworks?(firecrackers, bottle rockets, etc.)... I have heard that it is haram, is this true?

Answer

It is not permissible to play with fireworks as it is futile activity and wastage of money. Furthermore, it is an action that resembles other religious groups which is prohibited. Rasulullah () said "whoever imitates a nation is from amongst them".
