i want to ask that for "Mahr" can we give Gold instead of Cash.

Question

1 ) i want to ask that for "Mahr" can we give Gold instead of Cash.

2) please tell me the Dua's & guidance for the Marriage Night....

Answer

1) It is permissible to pay Mehr in gold instead of cash. However, it is important that the value of the gold is equivalent accepted amount of Mehr.

2) you may hold the forehead of your new bride and recite the following Dua

Allahumma Inni Asaluka Khairaha Wa Khaira Ma Fiha Wa Aoozubika Min Sharriha Wa Sharri Ma Fiha
