Can my wife take this injection by a male doctor to reduce the labour pain

Question

I have a question for you. My wife is pregnant and Inshallah she will be delivering a baby sometime later . It seems that, at the time of delivery the doctors give an injection in the backbone to reduce the labour pains, which is generally given by male doctors. Can my wife take this injection by a male doctor to reduce the labour pain, though the doctor for the delivery process (Obs & Gynecologist) will be a female

Answer

It is permissible for a female to take the injection to reduce labour pain from a male doctor.
