During periods can we recite darud, etc

Question

Asalamualykum. Respected Mufti sb can we recite darood, names of Allah etc (but not verses of quran) during periods. Also can we touch Jainimaz, tasbe or something like that during periods.

Answer

It is permissible to recite Durood and the names of Allah during periods (menses). It is also permissible to touch the Jainamas (Musalla – prayer carpet) and Tasbeeh during menses.
