People who died in the recent Karachi blast, will they be considered shaheed

Question

People who died in the recent Karachi blast, will they be considered shaheed, since this happened during magrib salaat. They had gathered for 12 Rabi al awwal. Wht do u think ?

Answer

If a person passes away to to an impact in the form of an accident, bomb blast, etc. he will be a Shaheed if he had correct beliefs and Aqeedah.

To pass away during Salaat or during sacred months is a means of the mercy of Allah. However, that is not Shahaadah.
