Does the prophet (saw) maintain communication with his direct descendants?

Question

Does the prophet (saw) maintain communication with his direct descendants? i.e. after the prophet (saw) took leave of this world was there any form of communication with any of his living descendants and if so will this always be the case?

Answer

There is no mention in Shari’ah that Rasulullah [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] maintains communication with his direct descendants after his demise.
