Question regarding Marriage Certificate and process i need to do to have islamic nikkah registered in south africa.
i have made nikkah 3 years ago. i haven't as yet registered as when i got married i was 20. i am now wanting to know what do i need to do to have my marriage regsiteres at home affairs. i have nikkah certificate. busy getting antinuptual contract. where can i go now to register the islamic marriage. or who can assist with this.
Answer
Your Nikah may be registered in any Court of South Africa. You would have to go with your wife to the Court and pronounce your marriage to the Court official. Then your marriage will be legally recognized. You may apply for an antineptual contract without the accrual proviso.
