Assalamu alaikumIs it permissible to pray in a room that has pictures and idols? Being a woman I cannot go to the masjid in my area because it's frowned upon.Wassalam

Answer

To perform Salaat in a room of pictures and idols is Makrooh (reprehensible).

If there is no alternative, the idols and pictures should be covered. It is more virtuous for a female to perform Salaat at home.
