What is the fiqhi definition of "musical instrument".

Generally, musical instruments are referred to as ‘Ma’azif’ in the classical books of Hadith. Mullah Ali Qari, author of Mirqaatul Mafaatih, has explained the term to include all instruments of ‘lawh’ (time wasting). (Mirqaat vol.10 pg.172; Imdaadiyah)
