Can we keep the name Ubaid or it necessarily has to be Ubaidullah only ?

Question

1) Can we keep the name Ubaid or it necessarily has to be Ubaidullah only ?

2) Whats the arabic meaning of name Ubaid, Huzaif and Zoha ?

3) Is Raahil an arabic name ? If yes whats the meaning of it ?

Answer

1. Complete name is Ubaydullah meaning the small slave of Allah.

2. Huzayfah – shortained, curtailed, etc. Huzayfa ibn Yamaan [radhiallaahu anhu] was a distinguished companion of Rasulullah [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] and had participated in the battle of Uhud. He was the confidante of Nabi [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam].

3. Zuha – unable to locate; Shamsduha is an Islamic name.

4. Raahil – one who travels. An Arabic name.
