At my wedding night i gifted Rs. 20000/ to my wife and she asked me to keep it. After few years we broke up and i gave her divorce. Now please tell me

Do I have to return her that Rs. 20000. Please note that this is not a haq mehr money.?

Answer

You have to return the money to your ex-wife. You gave it to her as a gift and kept it by you as a trust.
