moulana gangohi said allah can speak a lie

Question

it is my belief that allah has absolute power and can do whatever he pleases. i also hold the belief that of mufti rasheed ganghoi (ra) that allah has the power to speek a lie but will not do so. is this believe correct as brealwi's say its impossible for allah to lie as it is a defect and allah is perfect

Hadrath Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Rashid Ahmed Gangohi was a great Alim and Muhaddith. His knowledge was extensive and his lectures and Fataawa bear testimony to this.
