What are the fara’id of Salaah?
Question
Dear Mufti, 1) What are the fara?id of Salaah? 2) Is there 70 times more punishments for bad deeds in ramadhan.
Answer
1. There are six Faraaidh of Salaat:
a. To say Allaahu Akbar at commencing Salaat.
b. To stand up.
c. To recite any verse or Surah from the Qur?aan
d. To make Ruku
e. To make two Sajdas
f. To sit down at the end of Salaat for as long as it takes one to recite the Attahiyyah
2. We have not come across anything on this. However, since the month of Ramadhaan is month of forgiveness, we should abstain from bad deeds.
