Can dowry be given to wife in the form of Gold. Or is it a must that it should be given in the form of currency.

Answer

In principle, the dowry offered, whether cash or kind, must be accepted by the future bride. If she accepts dowry in the form of any gold, coins, jewellery, etc. then it is permissible.
