question regarding hadith wudhu is not broken until the smell is not felt or the sound is not heard

Question

is the hadith which says that wudhu is not broken until the smell is not felt or the sound is not heard, i feel wudhu is broken even if smell or sound doesnt occur. please explain?

Answer

If a person is certain that he has passed wind, then the Wudhu is broken.

The advice in the Hadith is for a person who always experiences doubts. Such a person should follow certainty rather than following doubts.
