Is it allowed to sell any kind of clothing to non-muslim women? As they will wear it outside without Hijab. Please advise.
Question
Assalamualaikum, Please advise if the income from selling women's clothing in an online auction is Halal. As in auction, anyone can bid (muslim or non-muslim). 1.Is the income halal or haram when selling long dresses? 2.And also is selling shirts with or without sleeves haram? JazakAllah khair for your answer.
Answer
1. Any kind of clothing can be sold to non-Muslim women even if they wear it in public without Hijaab as they do not comply with the dictates of Shari?ah.
2. The income gained from selling women?s clothing in online auction is also Halaal once one adheres to the rules of business transactions.
3. The income gained through selling long dresses and shirts with or without sleeves is Halaal, since it is permissible for women to wear these types of clothing in certain conditions.
