Is haqeeqa supposed to be made by the adoptive or biological parents. Also please advise if the name Tawfeeq can be kept alone or should it be Tawfeeq Ahmed / Husain

Answer

1. It is the responsibility of the parents to perform Aqiqah. If they are not present, then the Guardians of the child should perform it. If they haven't and the child is then adopted, it would be preferred for the adopted parents to perform it.

2. Taufeeq could be used on its own.
