1)Is Qur’an khatam permissible. If so, what is the proof.

Answer

To recite the Qur?aan is indeed a great act of virtue. It invokes the blessings and mercy of Allah.

It is Mubaah (permitted) to have such functions. However, it should not be considered a must and necessity of deen. Rasulullah [Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, ?Whoever innovates anything in deen will surely be rejected.? (Mishkaat)
