I was told that the father of Imam Shafi'i left his family when the Imam was very young.

Then he came back later,the question is what was he doing all that time and where was he.

Answer

According to our research, Imaam Shaaf'ee's father passed away while he was young. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best Mufti Ebrahim Desai FATWA DEPT.
