Is a widow allowed to leave the confines of the inside of her home, to attend to outdoor chores such as doing washing etc during her idaat?

Answer

A woman in Iddat may leave her home when absolutely necessary. Hence, if she has to step out to do the washing because no body else is available, she is permitted.
