Please advise if it is compulsory for a woman to cover her head while eating.

Question

Please advise if it is compulsory for a woman to cover her head while eating. Some people say that if one does not cover one?s head while eating, then Shaitaan eats the food. Is this an Islamic belief?

Answer

It is advisable for a woman to cover her head at all times including the time during eating. There is no basis of the belief that Shaytan eats the food if a woman?s head is uncovered.

If we are wearing salwar which has a long piece of extra cloth which perfectly covers the bosom, should we still wear the head scarf in a way that covers the bosom.
