I am married know & no longer working .Can my husband pay zakaat on my behalf

Question

Before i was married i used to work.i own jewellery and money in foreign currency which i ittend to use for haj.

Answer

If the jewellery and the cash is equivalent or more than the minimum Zakaatable amount, then the Zakaat is due on you upon the completion of one year and every subsequent year. Your husband may discharge the Zakat due on you with your consent.
