is this hadith authentic?I am unable to quote it in its exact words." if Allah(s.w.t) had allowed anyone else to be bowed down to, He would have ordered the wife to bow down to her husband"
Answer
The exact wording is: If I had to order anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have ordered the wife to prostrate to her husband.
The Hadith is mentioned in many different books of Hadith such as Abu Dawud (No. 2140) and Haakim (No. 2763) and is authentic.
